People have been drinking water since ancient times. In the old days, they drank water from rivers and wells. They knew water was good for them, even though they did not understand why.
Lidé pijí vodu od pradávna. Ve starých dobách pili vodu z řek a studní. Věděli, že voda je pro ně dobrá, i když nechápali proč.
Nowadays, we can get water from many places. We can drink it from the tap in our homes, or we can buy bottles of water from stores. Some people add flavors to their water, like lemon or strawberry, to make it taste better.
V dnešní době můžeme získat vodu z mnoha míst. Můžeme ji pít z kohoutku v našich domovech, nebo si můžeme koupit lahve s vodou v obchodech. Někteří lidé přidávají do své vody příchutě, jako je citron nebo jahoda, aby chutnala lépe.
Drinking water has many benefits. It helps us stay hydrated, which means it keeps our bodies from getting too dry. When we are hydrated, we feel better and have more energy. Water also helps our bodies get rid of waste and toxins.
