The Eiffel Tower is a very famous building. It is in Paris, France. It was built for the 1889 World's Fair. The tower was designed by Gustave Eiffel. This is why it is called the Eiffel Tower.
Eiffelova věž je velmi slavná budova. Nachází se v Paříži ve Francii. Byla postavena pro Světovou výstavu v roce 1889. Věž byla navržena Gustavem Eiffelem. Proto se jmenuje Eiffelova věž.
The Eiffel Tower is very tall. It is 324 meters high. This makes it one of the tallest buildings in Paris. It was the tallest building in the world until 1930. You can see it from many parts of the city.

The tower is made of iron. It took more than two years to build. Many workers helped to build it. They used more than 18,000 pieces of iron. These pieces are held together by over 2.5 million rivets.
