The airplane is a very important invention. It changed how we travel and meet people. The history of the airplane is very interesting.

The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, made the first real airplane. They flew it for the first time on December 17, 1903. This happened in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The flight was only 12 seconds long, but it showed people could fly.
