A DVD player is an electronic device used to play DVDs, which are discs that store video and audio content. The player connects to a television or monitor and reads the data on the DVD to display movies, shows, or other media on the screen. Many DVD players also include features like the ability to play CDs, USB drives, or Blu-ray discs, and some offer options for controlling playback, such as pausing, skipping chapters, or adjusting volume. Modern televisions often include features such as internet connectivity for streaming services, smart TV capabilities for accessing apps, and high-definition resolution for clearer, more detailed images.
