Water is a drink that we need every day. It is clear and tastes like nothing. But water is super important for our bodies to work well. We drink water to quench our thirst and to keep us healthy.

People have been drinking water since ancient times. In the old days, they drank water from rivers and wells. They knew water was good for them, even though they did not understand why.
Les gens boivent de l'eau depuis l'Antiquité. Autrefois, ils buvaient de l'eau des rivières et des puits. Ils savaient que l'eau était bonne pour eux, même s'ils ne comprenaient pas pourquoi.
Nowadays, we can get water from many places. We can drink it from the tap in our homes, or we can buy bottles of water from stores. Some people add flavors to their water, like lemon or strawberry, to make it taste better.
