Southbridge Community Centre: Autumn Short Courses

Enrolment is now open for our six-week autumn programme starting in the week beginning 9 September.  Classes are held at Southbridge Community Centre, 18 Mill Road. 

Courses available

Fresh Meals on a Budget - Tuesdays, 6.30–8.30 pm, £48.  Ingredients are included, but participants should bring two food containers each week.

Evening Yoga - Wednesdays, 7.00–8.15 pm, £42.  Mats are not provided.

Beginners' Guitar - Thursdays, 5.45–7.00 pm, £55.  Students aged 13–16 may join with written permission from a parent or guardian.

North Car Park Weekend Shuttle

The weekend shuttle will run every Saturday from 14 September to 21 December, linking North Car Park with Old Market Square.  Buses leave North Car Park every 15 minutes from 8.30 am.  The final bus from Old Market Square back to the car park is at 7.05 pm. Fares are £2 single or £3 for a day ticket.  Children under five travel free.  Please note that drivers cannot accept cash; use a contactless card or mobile payment.  Standard bicycles are not permitted on the shuttle.  Folding bicycles may be carried if folded before boarding.  On town football match days, the Old Market Square stop will move temporarily to Hill Lane, outside the post office.

Millbrook Library Entrance Works

Building work will take place at the front entrance from 16 September to 4 October.  During this period, the library will open at 12 noon on weekdays instead of 9.00 am.  Closing times will remain unchanged.  Saturday opening hours, 9.30 am–2.00 pm, will not be affected.  The outside returns box cannot be used while the entrance is being repaired.  However, no fines will be charged on items due back during the works. The Thursday Storytime session will be held at the Town Hall Annexe at the usual time of 10.30 am.  There is no need to book.  Only six public computers will be available during the works.  These may be reserved at the library desk or by phone up to two days in advance.  Printing will be limited to black and white only.  For enquiries, call 01484 337650.

Central Leisure Pool: Lost Property and Locker Notice

If you lose something during your visit, report it to the service desk before leaving the building.  Valuable items such as phones, wallets and jewellery are kept in the manager's office.  To collect them, owners must provide ID and a clear description of the item.  Wet clothing and towels are kept for 7 days only.  Other unclaimed items, including goggles, bags and water bottles, are donated to the Oak Road Charity Shop after four weeks. Lost property can be collected from the service desk Monday to Friday, 8.00 am–8.00 pm.  At weekends, please ask at the café counter between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm.  Lockers require a £1 coin, which is returned after use.  Lockers are cleared every night at 9.15 pm.  Personal padlocks must not be used on day lockers.  Contact: lostproperty@centralpool.co.uk
