The salad has an interesting history. It was made in 1924 by "Caesar Cardini," an Italian chef who had a restaurant in Tijuana, Mexico. One busy weekend, he ran out of many ingredients. He then used what he had left to create a new salad. People liked it so much that they named it "Caesar salad" because of him.
