Что такое глагол «be»?
В английском языке глагол «be» может принимать разные формы в зависимости от времени и подлежащего.
Различные формы глагола «be»
В настоящем времени глагол «be» имеет три формы в зависимости от подлежащего:

Вот несколько примеров предложений:

В прошедшем времени глагол «be» имеет две формы в зависимости от подлежащего:

Вопросы с глаголом «be»
Чтобы образовать вопрос с глаголом «be», поменяйте местами подлежащее и глагол. Например:
He is an actor. → Is he an actor?

They are angry. → Are they angry?
Они злые. → Они злые?
We were home last night → Were you home last night?
Мы были дома прошлой ночью. → Вы были дома прошлой ночью?
Отрицание
Чтобы образовать отрицательное предложение с глаголом «be», просто добавьте «not» после него.
I am studying → I am not studying.
Я учусь. → Я не учусь.
She is busy. → She is not busy. / She isn't busy.
Она занята. → Она не занята.
He was happy to see us. → He was not happy to see us. / He wasn’t happy to see us.
Он был рад нас видеть. → Он не был рад нас видеть.
You were a student. → You were not a student. / You weren’t a student.
Ты был студентом. → Ты не был студентом.
