The Empire State Building is a very famous building in New York City, USA.  It is very tall and important.  Many people visit it every year.

Inside the Empire State Building, there are many offices.  Many people work there.  There are also places for visitors to see.  The most popular place is the viewing area.  It is on the 86th floor.  From there, people can see all of New York City.  On clear days, you can see very far.

The Empire State Building is also famous because it has been in many movies.  One of the most famous movies is "King Kong."  In the movie, a giant ape climbs to the top of the building.  Many people remember this scene.

Fun fact: It was built very quickly.  It only took about one year to finish.  This was very fast for such a big building.  Today, it is still one of the tallest buildings in the world and a symbol of New York City.
