The Golden Gate Bridge is very famous.  It is in San Francisco, California.  The bridge connects San Francisco to Marin County.  It is one of the most famous landmarks in the world.

The Golden Gate Bridge is very long.  It is about 2.7 kilometers long.  The main part of the bridge is 1,280 meters long.  The bridge is also very high.  It is 227 meters tall from the water to the top.

The bridge was built a long time ago.  Construction started in 1933 and ended in 1937.  It took four years to build.  Many workers helped build the bridge.  It is very strong and well-made.

Fun fact: Many people think it should be gold because of its name.  But it is orange-red.  The name "Golden Gate" comes from the Golden Gate Strait, the water it crosses.
