ধরনবাচক অব্যয় দেখায় কীভাবে কিছু করা হয় বা কোন যন্ত্রগুলি ব্যবহার করে কিছু করা হয়।

'By' ব্যবহার করা হয় কোন যন্ত্র বা পদ্ধতি ব্যবহার করে কেউ কিছু করছে তা দেখাতে। উদাহরণস্বরূপ:
We went there by bus.
আমরা সেখানে বাসে গিয়েছিলাম।
They traveled to Moscow by train.
তারা ট্রেনে করে মস্কোতে ভ্রমণ করেছিল।
With
'With' ব্যবহার করা হয় কিছু ব্যবহার করার বা কোন উপায়ে কিছু করার প্রসঙ্গে। এখানে কয়েকটি উদাহরণ দেওয়া হলো:
