Vad är possessiv form av substantiv?
För att visa att något tillhör någon eller något använder vi possessiva form av substantiv på engelska. Detta görs ofta genom att lägga till en apostrof och bokstaven "s" ('s) i slutet av ägarens namn.
Mike has a car. → The car belongs to Mike. → This is Mike's car.
Mike har en bil. → Bilen tillhör Mike. → Detta är Mikes bil.
Kara has a doll. → The doll belongs to Kara. → This is Kara's doll.
Kara har en docka. → Dockan tillhör Kara. → Detta är Karas docka.
För att bilda ett possessivt substantiv, börja med ägarens namn, lägg till en apostrof och bokstaven "s" ('s), och lägg sedan till namnet på saken eller objektet.
Sam's car is fancy.
Sams bil är fin.
Här betyder det att Sam har en bil.
Hanna's cat is cute.
