Mik azok a birtokos névmások?
A birtokos névmások olyan szavak, amelyek főneveket helyettesítenek és birtoklást fejeznek ki. Más szavakkal, azt mutatják meg, hogy valami valakié.

Mikor használjuk a birtokos névmásokat?
A birtokos névmást a főnévi csoport helyett használjuk, hogy ne ismételjük meg a főnevet a mondatban. Nézzünk néhány példát:
Don't touch that phone. It's not yours! → It's not your phone!
Ne érj ahhoz a telefonhoz! Az nem a tiéd! → Az nem a te telefonod!
That phone was mine. → That phone was my phone.

Whose
A „whose” kérdő névmást akkor használjuk, amikor birtoklásra kérdezünk rá.
- 'Whose birthday is it today?' + 'Mine!'
- „Kinek a születésnapja van ma?” + „Az enyém!”
- 'Whose car is this?' + 'It is theirs.'
- -„Kinek az autója ez?” + „Az övék.”
