Che Cosa Sono le Domande?
Le domande sono frasi che vengono usate per chiedere una risposta o informazioni. Nella scrittura, le domande di solito terminano con un punto interrogativo.

Ci sono due tipi principali di domande in inglese:
Domande sì/no
Domande wh-
Domanda Sì/No
Le domande sì/no sono quelle che richiedono come risposta un 'yes' o un 'no'.
Formazione
Quando la frase ha 'be', 'do' o 'have' come verbi ausiliari, la domanda sì/no viene formata utilizzando la struttura seguente:
'Be'/'Have'/'Do' + soggetto + verbo principale
Are you leaving?
Stai andando via?
Has he called?
Ha chiamato?
Does it look okay?
Sembra a posto?
Se c'è un verbo modale nella frase, la domanda sì/no è formata utilizzando la struttura seguente:
verbo modale + soggetto + verbo principale
Can you swim?
Sai nuotare?
Should I go?
Dovrei andare?
Se la frase non ha verbi ausiliari o modali, viene aggiunto il verbo ausiliare 'do', 'does' o 'did' per formare domande:
Do you usually exercise?
Ti alleni di solito?
Did you forget your keys?
Hai dimenticato le chiavi?
Se il verbo principale della frase è 'to be', il soggetto e il verbo 'to be' cambiano posto per formare una domanda e non c'è bisogno di un verbo ausiliare. Per esempio:
Her name is Sarah. → Is her name Sarah?
Il suo nome è Sarah. → Il suo nome è Sarah?
He is your brother. → Is he your brother?
Lui è tuo fratello. → È tuo fratello?
Domande Wh-
Le domande wh- sono formate usando 'wh-words', come 'what', 'when', 'where', 'who', ecc. Queste domande sono usate per chiedere informazioni. Non possono essere risposte con si o no.
Come Formare le Domande Wh-
Se la frase ha un verbo ausiliare ('be', 'do' o 'have') o un verbo modale, le domande wh- sono formate utilizzando la struttura seguente:
Wh- word + 'be'/'do'/'have' + soggetto + verbo principale
or
Wh- word + verbo modale + soggetto + verbo principale
Where do you live?
Dove vivi?
What can I do for you?
Cosa posso fare per te?
Se la frase non ha verbi ausiliari, e 'what', 'who', 'which', o 'whose' è il soggetto della frase, non c'è bisogno di usare un ausiliare. Il soggetto viene prima del verbo per formare la domanda.
Who called last night?
Chi ha chiamato ieri sera?

Fill the blanks with the correct auxiliary or modal verb or wh- word to complete the questions.
