ahead of something else in a sequence or order

Ex: The announcement will be made before the event .
above [preposition]

to or at higher position without direct contact

Ex: The birds flew gracefully above the river .
across [preposition]

on the opposite side of a given area or location

Ex: The bakery is located just across the street .
into [preposition]

to the inner part or a position inside a place

Ex: They stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor .
like [preposition]

used to indicate that something or someone shares the same qualities or features to another

Ex: My brother is tall like my father .
of [preposition]

used to indicate someone's or something's ownership or relation to a thing or person

Ex: This is a picture of my family at the beach .
than [preposition]

used to add a second part to a comparison

Ex: Our team scored more points than the opposing team .
without [preposition]

used to indicate that a person or thing does not have something or someone

Ex: I ca n't believe you left without me .
to [preposition]

used to say where someone or something goes

Ex:
over [preposition]

at a position above or higher than something

Ex: The moon rose over the mountains .
until [preposition]

used to show that something continues or lasts up to a specific point in time and often not happening or existing after that time

Ex: The library is open until 8 PM on weekdays .
