Who
'Who' è un pronome interrogativo che viene utilizzato per fare domande sulle persone. Ad esempio:

- 'Who ate the last slice of the cake?' + 'Angela.'

What
'What' è un pronome interrogativo che viene utilizzato per fare domande sulle cose. Ad esempio:

'Quello che è successo?' 'Non è successo niente.'

Sia 'who' che 'what' possono essere utilizzati per fare domande sia sul soggetto che sull'oggetto di una frase, ma quando si fanno domande sugli oggetti, è necessario usare un ausiliare tra il pronome interrogativo e il soggetto del verbo. Guarda gli esempi:

Qui, 'sandwich' è l'oggetto del verbo e il pronome interrogativo 'what' chiede informazioni su di esso, e l'ausiliare 'did' è aggiunto.

Which
Il pronome interrogativo 'which' viene utilizzato per fare domande su un elemento specifico o una selezione tra diverse opzioni. Come 'what' e 'who', 'which' può anche essere utilizzato per fare domande sia sul soggetto che sull'oggetto e la regola dell'aggiunta di un ausiliare funziona anche qui. Ad esempio:

- 'Qual è il tuo?' + 'Quello nero è mio.'
Qui, 'which' chiede informazioni sul soggetto. Qui, 'is' funge da verbo principale, NON da ausiliare.
