Cos'è il Modo Imperativo?
Il modo imperativo è utilizzato per ordinare o chiedere a qualcuno di fare o non fare qualcosa. Dai un'occhiata a questi esempi:
You can go to your room. → Go to your room!
Puoi andare nella tua stanza. → Vai nella tua stanza!
You need to start. → Start!
Devi iniziare. → Inizia!
You should respect your mother. → Respect your mother!
Dovresti rispettare tua madre. → Rispetta tua madre!
Struttura
Il modo imperativo si forma usando la forma base del verbo principale all'inizio della frase, senza un soggetto. Le frasi imperative spesso terminano con un punto esclamativo, ma in alcuni casi possono finire con un punto fermo. Guarda gli esempi:
Finish your meal!
Finisci il tuo pasto!
Speak to your doctor!
Parla con il tuo dottore!

Imperativo Negativo
Per dare un ordine negativo, 'do not' (o 'don't') è usato all'inizio della frase imperativa. Questo è usato per dire a qualcuno di non fare qualcosa. Ecco alcuni esempi:

Non mostrarmi il gatto!
