used for referring to a thing when it is not important what that thing is

used to indicate a large but unspecified number or portion of a group of people or things
Ex: Many of the employees are unhappy with the new work schedule .

[pronoun]
used to refer to things or people in greater numbers, degrees, or amounts
Ex: We 've done well so far , but we need more to succeed .
what
[pronoun]
used in questions to ask for information or for someone’s opinion
Ex: What is your opinion on the matter ?
