to a somewhat notable, considerable, or surprising degree

Ex: The instructions were rather unclear , causing some confusion .
so [conjunction]

used to introduce a consequence or result of the preceding clause

Ex: The road was blocked , so we had to take a detour .

used to say that something depends on something else to happen or be true

Ex: The deal wo n't go through unless both parties agree to the terms .
