'Weary' describes someone who is emotionally tired, while, 'wary' is a reminder, telling us to be careful. Look at the following examples:

She looked at me wearily and said: 'Just leave me alone.'

As we walked our path, the old lady shouted: 'If I were you, I'd be more wary about the people I encounter.'

Similarities

These two are only similar in that they are homophones.
