Involve vs. Include
'Involve' and 'include' both refer to someone or something that is incorporated in something else. However, while 'involve' means to make or allow something to take part in something, 'include' means to make or allow something to be part of something. Participation vs. Presence
'Involve' often carries the connotation of active participation, suggesting that the subject is directly engaged or participating in the matter or activity being described. 'Include' does not necessarily imply active participation. It can merely indicate the presence or addition of something without conveying the same level of direct involvement or engagement.
The investigation revealed that several people were involved in the criminal activities.
The teacher encouraged student participation by involving them in group discussions.
'involve' implies active participation.
We need to include people from all social classes in our statistics.
Here, to 'include' people does not require their participation.
The team meeting will include representatives from all departments.
