newly received information about recent and important events

a TV or radio program made to entertain people

Ex: Saturday Night Live is a sketch comedy show that has been on the air for decades .

photograph [noun]

a special kind of picture that is made using a camera in order to make memories, create art, etc.

Ex: The artist used a series of photographs as references for a realistic painting .

newspaper [noun]

a set of large folded sheets of paper with lots of stories, pictures, and information printed on them about things like sport, politic, etc., usually issued daily or weekly

Ex: I use the newspaper as a source for my research papers because it has reliable information .
