compass point [noun]

one of the main directions on a compass, such as north, south, east, or west, or intermediate directions like northeast or southwest

Ex: She used the compass to orient herself in the right compass point .

south [noun]

the direction on our right when we watch the sunrise

Ex: The compass pointed toward the south , guiding their path .

the direction on our left when we watch the sunrise
