¿Qué es el verbo 'do'?
El verbo ‘do’ puede tomar diferentes formas dependiendo del tiempo y del sujeto.

Preguntas
Para formar preguntas en el presente, ‘do’ se usa como verbo auxiliar. Para formar preguntas, ‘do’ o ‘does’ van al principio de la oración y el sujeto y la forma base del verbo principal vienen después.

¿Juegas al fútbol?
Does she like music?
¿Le gusta la música?
En inglés se usa "do" para hacer preguntas, pero en español, el verbo principal va al inicio.
Para formar preguntas en el pasado, ‘did’ va al principio de la oración y el sujeto y la forma base del verbo principal lo siguen. Por ejemplo:
Did you see the movie?
¿Viste la película?
Did they arrive on time?
¿Llegaron a tiempo?
Negación
Para hacer oraciones negativas con las diferentes formas del verbo auxiliar ‘do’, solo agrega ‘not’ después de ellas. Todas las formas de 'do' pueden contraerse en el negativo. Aquí tienes algunos ejemplos:
I do not like coffee./I don't like coffee.
No me gusta el café.
He does not watch TV./He doesn't watch TV.
Él no ve televisión.
I did not go to the party./I didn't go to the party.
No fui a la fiesta.
We didn’t like the food in the new restaurant.
No nos gustó la comida en el nuevo restaurante.
En español, la construcción de oraciones negativas difiere del inglés. No se necesita "do not" ya que el verbo se conjuga para indicar la negación.
