Cos'è la Punteggiatura?
La punteggiatura si riferisce a un insieme di simboli e segni che vengono utilizzati nella scrittura per aiutare a rendere più chiaro il significato delle frasi.
Segni di Punteggiatura
Ci sono molti segni di punteggiatura in inglese. Alcuni di essi sono:
Punto (.)
Punto interrogativo (?)
Punto esclamativo (!)
Ora, vediamo come funziona ciascuno di essi:
Punto
'Full stop' o punto (.) è un segno che indica che una frase è terminata. Lo usiamo alla fine di frasi che sono fatti e verità generali. Guarda i seguenti esempi:
The baby is asleep.
Il bambino sta dormendo.
There's a children's playground in the park.
C'è un parco giochi per bambini nel parco.
Punto Interrogativo
'Question mark' o punto interrogativo (?) indica che il parlante sta facendo una domanda e vuole conoscere la risposta. Guarda qui sotto:

Punto Esclamativo
