ما هي الترقيم؟
تشير علامات الترقيم إلى مجموعة من الرموز والعلامات التي تستخدم في الكتابة في اللغة الانجليزية للمساعدة في جعل معنى الجمل والعبارات أكثر وضوحًا.
علامات الترقيم
هناك العديد من علامات الترقيم المختلفة في اللغة الإنجليزية. بعضها هي:
full stop (.) (النقطة)
question mark (?) (علامة الاستفهام)
exclamation mark (!) علامة التعجب
النقطة
النقطة أو 'period' (.) هي علامة تظهر أن الجملة قد انتهت. نستخدمها في نهاية الجمل التي تعبر عن حقائق وعموميات. انظر إلى الأمثلة التالية:
The baby is asleep.
الطفل نائم.
There's a children's playground in the park.
هناك ملعب للأطفال في الحديقة.
علامة الاستفهام
علامة الاستفهام (?) تظهر أن المتحدث يطرح سؤالًا ويريد معرفة الإجابة. انظر أدناه:
Where are the kids?
أين الأطفال؟
Do you like ice cream?
هل تحب الآيس كريم؟
علامة التعجب
علامة التعجب (!) تظهر أن المتحدث يعبر عن شيء بمشاعر قوية مثل الغضب، الدهشة، السعادة، إلخ. انظر إلى الأمثلة التالية:
Get out of the room now!
اخرج من الغرفة الآن!
The cat is dying!
