book [noun]

bag [noun]

something made of leather, cloth, plastic, or paper that we use to carry things in, particularly when we are traveling or shopping

an instrument for writing or drawing with ink, usually made of plastic or metal

Ex: She uses a black pen to sign important documents .

pencil [noun]

a tool with a slim piece of wood and a thin, colored part in the middle, that we use for writing or drawing

Ex: She lends her pencil to a classmate who forgot to bring one .

eraser [noun]

a small tool used for removing the marks of a pencil from a piece of paper

Ex: I use an eraser to correct my mistakes when writing .

marker [noun]

a type of pen that has a thick tip

Ex: I use a black marker to write my name on my belongings .

map [noun]

an image that shows where things like countries, seas, cities, roads, etc. are in an area

Ex: She discovered a hidden gem by exploring the less-known areas on the map .

dictionary [noun]

a book or electronic resource that gives a list of words in alphabetical order and explains their meanings, or gives the equivalent words in a different language

Ex: Teachers often encourage students to expand their vocabulary using a thesaurus alongside a dictionary .

school [noun]

a place where children learn things from teachers

Ex: She takes the bus to school every morning .

college [noun]

a university in which students can study up to a bachelor's degree after graduation from school

Ex: The college offers a wide range of courses , from business administration to computer science .

an educational institution at the highest level, where we can study for a degree or do research

Ex: She received a scholarship to help fund her university education .

preschool [noun]

a place that children under the age of six can go to learn and play

Ex:

a room that students are taught in, particularly in a college, school, or university

Ex: The classroom is filled with desks , chairs , and a chalkboard .

students as a whole that are taught together
