বিশেষণ কোথায় বসানো হয়?
'বিশেষণ' হলো সেই শব্দ, যা বিশেষ্যকে বর্ণনা করে। বিশেষণ বিশেষ্যের আগে বা 'to be' ক্রিয়াপদের পরে আসতে পারে।
বিশেষ্যের আগে
যেমন আমরা উপরে উল্লেখ করেছি, বিশেষ্যকে বর্ণনা করার জন্য একটি বিশেষণ বিশেষ্যের আগে ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে। নিচের উদাহরণগুলো দেখুন:
a beautiful girl
একটি সুন্দর মেয়ে
'Girl' একটি বিশেষ্য।

'Be' ক্রিয়াপদের পরে
আমরা 'be' ক্রিয়াপদের পরে বিশেষণ বসাতে পারি। নিম্নলিখিত উদাহরণগুলি দেখুন:
The dog is black.
কুকুরটি কালো।
The panda is sleepy.
পান্ডাটি ঘুমন্ত।
I am angry.
আমি রাগান্বিত।
That old woman is kind.
ওই বৃদ্ধ মহিলা দয়ালু।
এখানে, 'old' একটি বিশেষ্যর আগে বসানো বিশেষণ এবং 'kind' হলো 'be' ক্রিয়াপদের পরে বসানো বিশেষণ।
বিশেষণের সংখ্যা
আমরা দুটি বা তার বেশি বিশেষণ ব্যবহার করতে পারি যে বিশেষ্যকে আমরা বর্ণনা করতে চাই। নিচের উদাহরণগুলো দেখুন:
I ate a big, delicious, creamy birthday cake yesterday.
