形容詞はどこに置かれるか？
形容詞は名詞を説明する単語です。形容詞は名詞の前に置かれることも、「be」動詞の後に置かれることもあります。
名詞の前
先ほど述べたように、形容詞は説明する名詞の前に置くことができます。以下を見てください：
a beautiful girl
美しい少女
「Girl」は名詞です。
the wild cat
野生の猫
a fluffy sheep
ふわふわの羊
the kind witch
優しい魔女
次に、これらの形容詞の完全な文中での位置を見てみましょう：
I can see a red circle.
私は赤い円を見ることができます。
He is a sad boy.
彼は悲しい少年です。
「Be」動詞の後
形容詞は「be」動詞の後に置くこともできます。次の例を見てください：
The dog is black.
その犬は黒いです。
The panda is sleepy.
そのパンダは眠いです。
I am angry.
私は怒っています。
That old woman is kind.
あの年老いた女性は優しいです。
ここでは、「old」は名詞の前にある形容詞で、「kind」は「to be」動詞の後にある形容詞です。
形容詞の数
説明する名詞の前に、2つ以上の形容詞を置くことができます。以下の例を見てください：
I ate a big, delicious, creamy birthday cake yesterday.
私は昨日、大きくて、おいしくて、クリーミーなバースデーケーキを食べました。
Look at those beautiful blue roses over there.
