Dove sono posizionati gli aggettivi?
Gli aggettivi sono parole che descrivono i sostantivi. Possono venire prima dei sostantivi, o dopo il verbo 'to be'.
Prima dei Sostantivi
Come abbiamo menzionato sopra, un aggettivo può essere usato prima del sostantivo che sta descrivendo. Guarda sotto:
A beautiful girl
Una ragazza bella
'Ragazza' è un sostantivo.

In inglese, a differenza dell'italiano, l'aggettivo viene sempre prima de il nome che descrive. Ad esempio, in italiano diciamo "la macchina rossa", mentre in inglese si dice "the red car".

Dopo il Verbo 'To Be'
Possiamo anche posizionare gli aggettivi dopo i verbi 'to be'. Guarda i seguenti esempi:

Sono arrabbiato.
That old woman is kind.
Quella donna anziana è gentile.
Qui, 'old' è un aggettivo prima del sostantivo e 'kind' è un aggettivo dopo il verbo 'to be'.
Numero di Aggettivi
Possiamo avere due o più aggettivi prima del sostantivo che vogliamo descrivere. Guarda i seguenti esempi:
