airport [noun]

a large place where planes take off and land, with buildings and facilities for passengers to wait for their flights

Ex: We had to show our passports and boarding passes at the airport immigration checkpoint .
arrival [noun]

the act of arriving at a place from somewhere else

Ex: She eagerly awaited the arrival of her friends at the airport .
bag drop [noun]

the area where one leaves one's suitcases, bags, etc. to be loaded onto a plane

Ex: The concert venue provided a designated bag drop for attendees to safely store their belongings during the event .

the area at an airport where passengers can collect their cases, bags, etc. after they land

Ex: She spotted her suitcase on the conveyor belt at the baggage claim .
check-in [noun]

the process of arriving at a location such as an airport, a hotel, etc., and reporting one's presence

Ex: Online check-in is available for this event , allowing participants to skip the registration line on the day of the conference .

the act of leaving, usually to begin a journey

Ex: The departure of the ship from the harbor marked the beginning of their cruise vacation .
gate [noun]

the part of a fence or wall outside a building that we can open and close to enter or leave a place

Ex: The wooden gate led to a beautiful garden .
lift [noun]

a box-like device that goes up and down and is used to get to the different floors of a building

Ex: The lift was out of order , so they had to use the stairs .
terminal [noun]

a building where trains, buses, planes, or ships start or finish their journey

Ex: There were shops and restaurants inside the terminal for passengers to enjoy .
trolley [noun]

a vehicle that has two or four wheels and is used to carry objects in an airport, terminal, or supermarket

Ex: The hotel provided a trolley for guests to use when moving their bags to their rooms .
customs [noun]

the place at an airport or port where passengers' bags are checked for illegal goods as they enter a country

Ex: They were stopped by customs for carrying fruits across the border .
