Ex: The waitress checked if we needed anything else before bringing the dessert .
excuse me [interjection]

said before asking someone a question, as a way of politely getting their attention

Ex: Excuse me , is this seat taken ?
to order [verb]

to ask for something, especially food, drinks, services, etc. in a restaurant, bar, or shop

Ex: She ordered a cappuccino and sat by the window .
check [noun]

a small piece of paper showing the foods and drinks that we have ordered in a restaurant, cafe, etc. and the amount that we have to pay

Ex: She left her credit card with the waiter to pay the check .
tip [noun]

the additional money we give someone such as a waiter, driver, etc. to thank them for the services they have given us

Ex: The taxi driver was grateful for the tip he received from the passengers for helping with their luggage .

a plastic card, usually given to us by a bank, that we use to pay for goods and services

Ex: I use my credit card mostly for online purchases .
