a piece of paper or card that shows you can do or get something, like ride on a bus or attend an event

Ex: The flight attendant scanned my electronic ticket before I boarded the plane .

letter [noun]

a written or printed message that is sent to someone or an organization, company, etc.

Ex: He was delighted to get a letter of acceptance from the university .

envelope [noun]

a thin, paper cover in which we put and send a letter

Ex: She found an old envelope with photos in it .

note [noun]

a short piece of writing that helps us remember something

Ex: Mark jotted down some notes during the lecture to review later .

ID card [noun]

any official card that shows someone's name, birth date, photograph, etc., proving who they are

Ex: To enter the building , you need to swipe your ID card at the security gate .

badge [noun]

a small item made of metal or plastic with words or a logo on it that a person carries to show their membership in an organization

Ex: The detective examined the crime scene , carefully collecting evidence and photographing each shattered glass shard with a numbered evidence badge .

a plastic card, usually given to us by a bank, that we use to pay for goods and services

Ex: I use my credit card mostly for online purchases .

a small card that contains contact information for a person or company, used to share and promote professional connections

Ex: He forgot to bring his business cards to the meeting .

driving licence [noun]

an official document that shows someone is qualified to drive a motor vehicle

Ex: He had to renew his driving licence because it had expired last month .

passport [noun]

a document for traveling between countries

Ex: I need to update my passport photo .
