Contracciones Para Principiantes
I’m here. → I am here.
Estoy aquí.
She’s here → She is here.
Ella esta aquí.
¿Cuándo usar contracciones?
Las diversas formas del verbo 'to be', incluyendo 'am', 'is', y 'are', pueden contraerse. Por ejemplo:
forma completa | forma contraída | equivalente español | |
---|---|---|---|
I | am | I'm | yo estoy/soy |
you | are | you're | tú estas/eres |
he/she/it | is | he's/she's/it's | él/ella esta/es |
we | are | we're | nosotros(as) estamos/somos |
you | are | you're | vosotros(as) estais/sois |
they | are | they're | ellos(as) estan/son |
She’s coming. → She is coming.
Ella está viniendo.
We’re talking → We are talking
Nosotras(as) estamos hablando
Auxiliares y modales negativos
---|---|
are not | aren't |
is not | isn't |
was not | wasn't |
were not | weren't |
do not/does not | don't/doesn't |
did not | didn't |
have not/has not | haven't/hasn't |
had not | hadn't |
¡Advertencia!
She shouldn't go → She should not go.
Ella no debería ir.
He can’t sing. → He cannot sing.
El no puede cantar.
