before [conjunction]

used to indicate that one event happens earlier than another event in time

Ex: Let 's have lunch before we start the meeting .
after [conjunction]

at some point subsequent to when something happens

Ex: After the storm passed , the streets were flooded .
as soon as [conjunction]

used to indicate that something will happen immediately after a certain condition or event occurs

Ex: We 'll leave as soon as the rain stops .
until [conjunction]

up to the point in time or the event mentioned

Ex: He worked tirelessly until the project was completed .
directly [conjunction]

as soon as, immediately after

Ex:
immediately [conjunction]

used to indicate that an action or event follows another one without delay or hesitation

Ex:
instantly [conjunction]

used to indicate that something occurs immediately, without delay or hesitation after something else

Ex:
whereupon [conjunction]

immediately after this; because of something mentioned

Ex: The rain stopped , whereupon the sun emerged from behind the clouds .
