a flat, shallow container for cooking food in or serving it from

spoon [noun]

an object that has a handle with a shallow bowl at one end that is used for eating, serving, or stirring food

fork [noun]

an object with a handle and three or four sharp points that we use for picking up and eating food

Ex: I usually use a fork to cut into a tender piece of meat .

a sharp blade with a handle that is used for cutting or as a weapon

Ex: I need to sharpen the knife for smoother cutting .

plate [noun]

a flat, typically round dish that we eat from or serve food on

Ex: They used disposable plates for the picnic .

glass [noun]

a container that is used for drinks and is made of glass

Ex: The bartender served a cocktail in a fancy glass .

bottle [noun]

a glass or plastic container that has a narrow neck and is used for storing drinks or other liquids

Ex: She stored homemade sauce in a glass bottle .

cup [noun]

a small bowl-shaped container, usually with a handle, that we use for drinking tea, coffee, etc.

Ex: He enjoyed a cup of freshly brewed black coffee .

the substance we use with water for washing and cleaning our body

Ex: I need to find a gentle soap for sensitive skin .

brush [noun]

an object that has hair or thin pieces of plastic or wood attached to a handle that we use for making our hair tidy

Ex: She uses a brush to style her long , flowing hair .

toothbrush [noun]

a small brush with a long handle that we use for cleaning our teeth

a cloth bag stuffed with soft materials that we put our head on when we are lying or sleeping

Ex: Sarah used to cuddle her pillow for comfort and relaxation .

trash can [noun]

a plastic or metal container with a lid, used for putting garbage in and usually kept outside the house

Ex: Sarah used a trash can with a lid to prevent odors .

box [noun]

a container, usually with four sides, a bottom, and a lid, that we use for moving or keeping things

Ex: He used a tool storage box to organize his workshop .

thing [noun]

an object that we cannot or do not need to name when we are talking about it

Ex: She always carries a small thing to write down her thoughts .

ball [noun]

a round object that is used in games and sports, such as soccer, basketball, bowling, etc.

Ex: She caught the ball with her glove during the baseball game .

doll [noun]

a toy for children that usually looks like a small baby

Ex: Sarah enjoyed brushing her doll 's hair and styling it .
