Ce Sunt Numerele?
Numerele sunt simboluri folosite pentru a arăta cantitatea sau numărul lucrurilor.
1-10
Iată o listă a numerelor de la unu la zece:
One (unu)
Two (doi)
Three (trei)
Four (patru)

Six (șase)
Seven (șapte)
Eight (opt)
Nine (nouă)
Ten (zece)
Acum, să ne uităm la câteva exemple:
There is one cat lying on the car.
Este o pisică întinsă pe mașină.
There are seven cars in the garage.
Sunt șapte mașini în garaj.
Atenție!
Nu confunda „three“ (trei) cu „tree“ (arbore). „Tree“ este numele unei plante verzi.

Acum, să ne uităm la lista numerelor de la unsprezece la douăzeci:

21-29
Pentru a scrie numere precum 21, 22 etc., se folosește un cratimă (-) între părțile numărului compus. Această regulă este valabilă pentru toate numerele compuse de la 21 la 99.

Twenty-seven (douăzeci și șapte)
Twenty-nine (douăzeci și nouă)

În engleză, un număr compus precum 35 nu se citește ca „thirty and five“, ci ca „thirty-five“ (treizeci și cinci).
Multiplii lui 10
Lista de mai jos arată forma scrisă a multiplilor de 10, precum 20, 30, 40 etc.

Nu confunda pronunția unor numere. De exemplu:
