an area of sand or small stones next to a sea or a lake

the area of land where the land meets a body of water such as an ocean, sea, lake, or river

orilla, costa
the land close to a sea, ocean, or lake

costa
a piece of land surrounded by water

isla
a high place, such as a cliff, from which a river or stream falls

cascada, catarata
a large area of water, surrounded by land

lago
a natural and continuous stream of water flowing on the land to the sea, a lake, or another river

río
land that is filled with many trees

bosque
a hole or chamber formed underground naturally by rocks gradually breaking down over time

cueva
a very large floating piece of ice

iceberg
an area of sea that is partly surrounded by land, with a narrow opening

golfo
a device with a needle that always points to the north, used to find direction

brújula
a mountain with an opening on its top, from which melted rock and ash can be pushed out into the air

volcán
a thick, tropical forest with tall trees and consistently heavy rainfall
