Apa yang Dimaksud dengan Uang dan Harga?
Uang adalah jenis mata uang yang digunakan untuk membeli barang dan jasa. Harga adalah jumlah uang yang diperlukan untuk membeli barang atau jasa. Dalam pelajaran ini, Anda akan belajar bertanya dan membicarakannya dalam bahasa Inggris.
Cara Bertanya tentang Uang dan Harga
Untuk bertanya tentang uang, pertanyaan seperti: 'how much is this/that...?' atau 'how much are these/those…?' dapat digunakan. Pertanyaan-pertanyaan ini dapat dijawab dengan 'It is/They are…'. Contohnya:
- 'How much is the book?' + 'It’s 10 dollars.'

Cara Membaca Harga
Berbagai struktur dapat digunakan untuk membaca harga suatu barang. Berikut adalah cara-cara yang paling umum:

$4,60 → empat koma enam puluh
Anda dapat langsung menyebutkan angkanya.
$4.60 → four dollars sixty
$4,60 → empat dolar enam puluh
Anda dapat menyebutkan angka + dollars dan angka setelah koma desimal.
$4.60 → four dollars and sixty cents

Anda dapat menyebutkan angka + dollars + 'and' + angka desimal + cents.
Tip!
Ketika harga adalah angka yang tepat, dapat dibaca sebagai angka + dollars/pounds/euros/dll.
$200 → two hundred dollars
$200 → dua ratus dolar
$80 → eighty dollars
$80 → delapan puluh dolar
Tip!
Tanda dolar ($) ditempatkan sebelum angka dan tidak ada spasi antara tanda dolar dan angka.
