Wat Bedoelen We met Geld en Prijs?
Geld is een vorm van valuta die wordt gebruikt om goederen en diensten te kopen. Prijs is het bedrag aan geld dat nodig is om goederen of diensten te kopen. In deze les leren we hoe we in het Engels over geld en prijzen kunnen praten
Hoe Vragen We naar Geld en Prijzen
Om naar geld te vragen, kunnen vragen zoals: 'how much is this/that' of 'how much are these/those…?' worden gebruikt. Deze vragen kunnen worden beantwoord met 'it’s/they’re…'. Bijvoorbeeld:
How much is the book? It’s 10 dollars.
Hoeveel kost het boek? Het is 10 dollar.
How much are these pens? They’re 50 dollars.
Hoeveel kosten deze pennen? Ze zijn 50 dollar.
Hoe Lezen We Prijzen
Verschillende structuren kunnen worden gebruikt om de prijs van een artikel te lezen. Dit zijn de meest voorkomende manieren:
$4.60 → four-sixty
$4.60 → vier-zestig
Je kunt gewoon de cijfers zeggen.
$4.60 → four dollars sixty
$4.60 → vier dollar zestig
Je kunt het getal + dollar en het getal na de decimale punt zeggen.
$4.60 → four dollars and sixty cents
$4.60 → vier dollar en zestig cent
Je kunt het getal + dollar + 'and' + decimaal getal + cent zeggen.
Tip!
Wanneer een prijs een exact getal is, kan het worden gelezen als het getal + dollars/pounds/euros/etc.
$200 → two hundred dollars
$200 → tweehonderd dollar
$80 → eighty dollars
$80 → tachtig dollar
Tip!
Het dollarteken ($) komt voor het getal en er is geen spatie tussen het dollarteken en het getal.
