Was meinen wir mit Geld und Preis?
Geld ist eine Art Währung, die verwendet wird, um Waren und Dienstleistungen zu kaufen. Der Preis ist der Geldbetrag, der benötigt wird, um Waren oder Dienstleistungen zu kaufen.
Wie man nach Geld und Preisen fragt
Um nach Geld zu fragen, können Fragen wie „how much is this/that“ oder „how much are these/those…?“ verwendet werden. Diese Fragen können mit „it’s…“ oder „they’re ...“ beantwortet werden. Zum Beispiel:
How much is the book? It’s 10 dollars.
Wie viel kostet das Buch? Es kostet 10 Dollar.

Wie man Preise liest
Verschiedene Strukturen können verwendet werden, um den Preis eines Artikels zu lesen. Dies sind die gebräuchlichsten Methoden:
$4.60 → four-sixty
$4.60 → vier-sechzig
Man kann einfach die Zahlen sagen.
$4.60 → four dollars sixty
$4.60 → vier Dollar sechzig
Man kann die Zahl + Dollar und die Zahl nach dem Dezimalpunkt sagen.
$4.60 → four dollars and sixty cents
$4.60 → vier Dollar und sechzig Cent
Man kann die Zahl + Dollar + „and“ + Dezimalzahl + Cent sagen.
Tipp!
Wenn der Preis eine ganze Zahl ist, kann er als Zahl + Dollar/Euro/Pound/etc. gelesen werden.
$200 → two hundred dollars
$200 → zweihundert Dollar
$80 → eighty dollars
$80 → achtzig Dollar
Tipp!
Das Dollarzeichen ($) steht vor der Zahl und es gibt keinen Abstand zwischen dem Dollarzeichen und der Zahl.
