お金と価格とは何か？
お金とは、商品やサービスを購入するために使われる通貨の一種です。価格とは、商品やサービスを購入するために必要な金額のことです。レッスンに従って、英語で価格について話し合う方法を学びましょう。
お金と価格の尋ね方
お金について尋ねる場合、「how much is this/that...?」や「how much are these/those...？」のような質問が使えます。これらの質問には「it’s/they’re...」で答えることができます。例を見てみましょう：
- 'How much is the book?' + 'It’s 10 dollars.'
- 本はいくらですか？ + 10ドルです。
- 'How much are these pens?' + 'They’re 50 dollars.'
- これらのペンはいくらですか？ + 50ドルです。
価格の読み方
商品価格を読む際には、さまざまな表現が使えます。以下が最も一般的な方法です：
$4.60 → four-sixty
$4.60 → フォー・シックスティ
数字をそのまま言う方法です。
$4.60 → four dollars sixty
$4.60 → フォー・ダラーズ・シックスティ
数字 + dollars、その後小数点以下の数字を言う方法です。
$4.60 → four dollars and sixty cents
$4.60 → フォー・ダラーズ・アンド・シックスティ・セント
数字 + dollars+ 「and」+ 小数点以下の数字 + cents と言う方法です。
注意！
価格がぴったりの数値の場合、その数値 + dollars/pounds/eurosどで読みます。
$200 → two hundred dollars
200ドル → 二百ドル
$80 → eighty dollars
80ドル → 80ドル
注意！
ドル記号（$）は数字の前に置き、ドル記号と数字の間にはスペースを入れません。
