Vad menar vi med pengar och pris?
Pengar är en typ av valuta som används för att köpa varor och tjänster. Pris är den mängd pengar som behövs för att köpa varor eller tjänster. I denna lektion kommer du att lära dig att prata om pengar och priser på engelska.
Hur man frågar om pengar och priser
För att fråga om pengar kan man använda frågor som: "how much is this/that" eller "how much are these/those…?". Dessa frågor kan besvaras med "it’s/they’re…". Till exempel:
How much is the book? It’s 10 dollars.
Hur mycket kostar boken? Den kostar 10 dollar.
How much are these pens? They’re 50 dollars.
Hur mycket kostar dessa pennor? De kostar 50 dollar.
Hur man läser priser
Olika strukturer kan användas för att läsa priset på en vara. Dessa är de vanligaste sätten:
$4.60 → four-sixty
$4,60 → fyra-sextio
Man kan bara säga siffrorna.
$4.60 → four dollars sixty
$4,60 → fyra dollar sextio
Man kan säga siffran + dollars och siffran efter decimaltecknet.
$4.60 → four dollars and sixty cents
$4,60 → fyra dollar och sextio cent
Man kan säga siffran + dollars + "and" + decimalnummer + cents.
Tips!
När ett pris är ett exakt tal kan det läsas som siffran + dollars/pounds/euros/etc.
$200 → two hundred dollars
$200 → tvåhundra dollar
$80 → eighty dollars
$80 → åttio dollar
Tips!
Dollartecknet ($) placeras före siffran och det finns inget mellanslag mellan dollartecknet och siffran.
