¿Qué queremos decir con dinero y precio?
'Money' es un tipo de moneda que se usa para comprar bienes y servicios. 'Price' es la cantidad de dinero que se necesita para comprar un artículo o servicio.
Cómo preguntar sobre dinero y precios
Para preguntar sobre dinero, se pueden usar preguntas como: 'how much is this/that' o 'how much are these/those…?'. Estas preguntas pueden ser respondidas usando 'it’s/they’re…'. Por ejemplo:
'How much is the book?' 'It’s 10 dollars.'
¿Cuánto cuesta el libro? 'Cuesta 10 dólares.'
'How much are these pens?' 'They’re 50 dollars.'
¿Cuánto cuestan estos bolígrafos?' 'Cuestan 50 dólares.'
Cómo leer los precios
Se pueden usar diferentes estructuras para leer el precio de un artículo. Estas son las formas más comunes:
$4.60 → four-sixty
cuatro sesenta
Se pueden simplemente decir los números.
$4.60 → four dollars sixty
cuatro dólares sesenta
Se puede decir el número + 'dollars' y el número después del punto decimal.
$4.60 → four dollars and sixty cents
cuatro dólares con sesenta centavos
Se puede decir el número + 'dollars'+ 'and' + número decimal + 'cents'.
¡Atención!
Cuando el precio es un número exacto, se puede leer como el número + 'dollars'/'pounds'/'euros'/etc.
$200 → two hundred dollars
$200 → doscientos dólares
$80 → eighty dollars
$80 → ochenta dólares
¡Atención!
El signo de dólar ($) va antes del número y no hay espacio entre el signo de dólar y el número.
