ঘটমান বর্তমান কাল কী?
ঘটমান বর্তমান কাল এমন একটি ক্রিয়া বা পরিস্থিতি সম্পর্কে আলোচনা করতে ব্যবহৃত হয় যা এখন ঘটছে।
গঠন
ঘটমান বর্তমান কাল গঠন করা হয় 'be' + মূল ক্রিয়ার '-ing' রূপ ব্যবহার করে। এই গঠনে 'be' ক্রিয়ার পূর্ণ রূপ বা সংক্ষিপ্ত রূপ ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে।

বানান
বেশিরভাগ ক্রিয়ার ক্ষেত্রে, '-ing' যোগ করা হয় ক্রিয়ার মূল রূপে, কিন্তু যখন ক্রিয়া '-e' দিয়ে শেষ হয়, তখন '-ing' যোগ করার আগে '-e' সরিয়ে ফেলতে হয়। উদাহরণস্বরূপ:
make → making (বানানোর → বানাচ্ছে)
take → taking (নিতে → নিচ্ছে)
come → coming(আসার → আসছে)
যদি ক্রিয়া একটি স্বর + একটি ব্যঞ্জনবর্ণ দিয়ে শেষ হয় এবং শেষের সিলেবলটির উপর জোর থাকে, তাহলে '-ing' যোগ করার আগে ব্যঞ্জনবর্ণটি দ্বিগুণ করা হয়। উদাহরণস্বরূপ:
plan → planning (পরিকল্পনা করার → পরিকল্পনা করছে)
stop → stopping (থামানোর → থামাচ্ছে)
অস্বীকৃতি
ঘটমান বর্তমান ক্রিয়াকে নেতিবাচক করতে, 'to be' ক্রিয়ার সাথে 'not' যোগ করুন। উদাহরণস্বরূপ:
I'm working. → I am not working. (I'm not working.)
আমি কাজ করছি। → আমি কাজ করছি না।
She is eating. → She is not eating. (She isn't eating.)
সে খাচ্ছে। → সে খাচ্ছে না।
They are waiting. → They are not waiting. (They aren't waiting.)
তারা অপেক্ষা করছে। → তারা অপেক্ষা করছে না।

স্মরণ রাখবেন যে সংক্ষিপ্ত রূপ 'I amn't' ব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়। 'I'm not' বলুন।
