Το «and» χρησιμοποιείται για να προσθέσει μια λέξη σε μια άλλη λέξη. Για παράδειγμα:
She is beautiful. She is kind. = She is beautiful and kind.

I called Hanna. I called Tommy = I called Hanna and Tommy.

Το «or» χρησιμοποιείται για να αναφέρει δύο ή περισσότερες επιλογές. Για παράδειγμα:
