حرف ربط هم‌پایه‌ساز چیست؟
حروف ربط هم‌پایه‌ساز، کلمات، عبارات یا بندهایی را که در جمله دارای اهمیت یکسان هستند به هم وصل می‌کنند.

زبان انگلیسی سه حرف ربط هم‌پایه‌ساز اصلی دارد:

or
but
And
'And' برای اضافه کردن یک کلمه به کلمه دیگر استفاده می شود. برای مثال:
She is beautiful. She is kind. = She is beautiful and kind.
او زیبا است. او مهربان است. = او زیبا و مهربان است.
I called Hanna. I called Tommy = I called Hanna and Tommy.
با هانا تماس گرفتم. با تامی تماس گرفتم = با هانا و تامی تماس گرفتم.
Or
'Or' برای نام بردن از دو یا چند گزینه استفاده می شود. برای مثال:
Are you sad? Are you angry? = Are you sad or angry?
غمگین هستی؟ عصبانی هستی؟ = غمگین یا عصبانی هستی؟
Do you like pizza? Do you like pasta = Do you like pizza or pasta?
پیتزا دوست داری؟ پاستا دوست داری؟ = پیتزا یا پاستا دوست داری؟
But
'But' برای نشان دادن تضاد بین دو کلمه یا جمله استفاده می شود. برای مثال:
She is beautiful but cruel.
او زیبا اما بی رحم است.
I love fruits but I’m allergic to strawberries.
میوه دوست دارم اما به توت فرنگی حساسیت دارم.
