¿Qué son las conjunciones coordinantes?
Las conjunciones coordinadas son palabras que conectan palabras, frases u oraciones que tienen igual importancia en una oración.
Principales conjunciones coordinadas
El inglés tiene tres principales conjunciones coordinadas:
and
or
but
And
'And' se usa para agregar una palabra a otra palabra. Por ejemplo:
She is beautiful. She is kind. = She is beautiful and kind.
Ella es hermosa. Ella es amable. = Ella es hermosa y amable.
I called Hanna. I called Tommy = I called Hanna and Tommy.
Llamé a Hanna. Llamé a Tommy. = Llamé a Hanna y a Tommy.
Or
'Or' se usa para nombrar dos o más opciones. Por ejemplo:
Are you sad? Are you angry? = Are you sad or angry?
¿Estás triste? ¿Estás enojado? = ¿Estás triste o enojado?
Do you like pizza? Do you like pasta = Do you like pizza or pasta?
¿Te gusta la pizza? ¿Te gusta la pasta? = ¿Te gusta la pizza o la pasta?
But
'But' se usa para mostrar contraste entre dos palabras u oraciones. Por ejemplo:
She is beautiful but cruel.
Ella es hermosa pero cruel.
I love fruits but I’m allergic to strawberries.
Amo las frutas pero soy alérgico a las fresas.
