Co jsou souřadicí spojky?
Souřadicí spojky jsou slova, která spojují slova, fráze nebo věty, které mají ve větě stejnou důležitost.
Hlavní souřadicí spojky
V angličtině jsou tři hlavní souřadicí spojky:
and
or
but
And
„And“ se používá k přidání jednoho slova k druhému. Například:
She is beautiful. She is kind. = She is beautiful and kind.
Je krásná. Je laskavá. = Je krásná a milá.
I called Hanna. I called Tommy = I called Hanna and Tommy.
Zavolal jsem Hanně. Zavolal jsem Tommymu = zavolal jsem Hanně a Tommymu.
Or
„Or“ se používá k označení dvou nebo více možností. Například:
Are you sad? Are you angry? = Are you sad or angry?
jsi smutný? zlobíš se? = Jsi smutný nebo naštvaný?
Do you like pizza? Do you like pasta? = Do you like pizza or pasta?
Máte rádi pizzu? Máte rádi těstoviny? = Máte rádi pizzu nebo těstoviny?
But
„But“ se používá k vyjádření kontrastu mezi dvěma slovy nebo větami. Například:
She is beautiful but cruel.
Je krásná, ale krutá.
I love fruits but I’m allergic to strawberries.
Miluji ovoce, ale jsem alergický na jahody.
