Сочинительные союзы в английском языке - это слова, которые соединяют слова, фразы или предложения, имеющие равное значение в предложении.
Основные Сочинительные союзы
В английском языке три основных координирующих союза:
And (и)
Or (или)
But (но)
And
«And» используется для добавления одного слова к другому. Например:
She is beautiful. She is kind. = She is beautiful and kind.
Она красива. Она добра. = Она красива и добра.
I called Hanna. I called Tommy = I called Hanna and Tommy.
Я позвонил Ханне. Я позвонил Томми. = Я позвонил Ханне и Томми.
Or
«Or» используется для обозначения двух или более вариантов. Например:
Are you sad? Are you angry? = Are you sad or angry?
Ты грустный? Ты сердитый? = Ты грустный или сердитый?
Do you like pizza? Do you like pasta? = Do you like pizza or pasta?

But
«But» используется для показа контраста между двумя словами или предложениями. Например:
She is beautiful but cruel.
Она красива, но жестока.
I love fruits but I’m allergic to strawberries.
